Kellisa Kennels started back around 1968 near Lucan Ontario Canada with beautiful Rough Collies (Lassie type) and we enjoyed raising and showing collies for many years. About 1970 we added Saint Bernards to the Kennel and increased our fun . The shows were our social life and we travelled a lot . One or two litters a year were all we had just to produce something spectacular each time. It was a labour of love which my husband and I as well as our two girls enjoyed for a good many years.
In 1980 our family changed and we disbanded the Kennel placing some of the dogs in loving homes and keeping the remaining ones as pets until it was their time to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Since that time I have owned a few German Shepherds and have aiways loved that breed since childhood. After my last one was gone I was doing research to find a big solid loving shepherd when I came across this new breed , SHILOH SHEPHERDS. I was very impressed and after meeting a couple of breeders and looking seriously at bloodlines I changed my goal from finding myself a new companion to becoming an active participant in breeding again.
Now, back in Lucan, Ontario, my goal will be to create some awesome shepherds and therefore may be breeding one or two litters a year. Occasionally there will be a few puppies for sale from these litters and I will feature those on this site. Also on this site you will be able to watch the progress of those special pups created to better this breed and share any successes I have in this exciting endeavour. Each mating will be carefully planned and rated for its success in acheiving what we want, and each move carefully thought out.
