So much controversy and too much duplicity is wound up in the soap opera-like story of this beautiful breed.

   When I first set up this site, I gave a lot of credit to the "Breed Founder" Tina Barber, who immediately launched a personal attack ,(and apparently is still doing so), on me , my Kennel and the fact that I had bred other breeds previously for many years .  So I have changed this page to reflect  reality. 

  Although her vision for this dog was the same vision a lot of people had, Tina was the first person to officially   breed this type of dog. In the beginning things ran smoothly and a type of dog emerged. Unfortunately power seems to have gotten in the way and most of the original people, who worked with Tina at the time, left her and formed their own registry.  The dogs they were, and are breeding are all from the original Shiloh lines and therefore are still shilohs whether or not Tina wants to admit it. Tina commonly referrs to this registry and others as  splinters, and our dogs as mutts, but every pedigree can be traced back to Tina's foundation dogs. The people who began with Tina learned well, and now they have successfully established an environment where really great Shilohs are being produced and breeders work together and help eachother in peace and harmony;  a place where we all respect eachother, and there is no room, or tolerance for any of the destructive fighting of old.

  The dogs that I have, originally come from a very special old line of large boned, sweet temperd  Shepherds used years ago to help produce the Shiloh Shepherds we see today. The lines I have  trace back to the old line Shilohs and these big beautiful shepherds technically and legally can have full shiloh status. Every ancestor on their pedigrees is also on the pedigrees of todays shilohs if you go back a few generations. No other dogs or lines were introduced along the way. As these dogs are getting on in years, we are attempting to preserve these lines and use the progeny  to diversify the current gene pool and create sound, stable, big and beautiful shilohs of the future without having to use an outcross.

  Any puppies that we do not keep for use in our breeding program will be offered to approved homes as loving pets and companions.

Under Attack Again !!!

  Well it seems that the old green eyed monster is rearing his/her ugly head again.  Some of the lineage of our dogs has been questioned and we are here to assure all that these dogs are exactly what we have said; from pure shiloh lines. The pedigrees on all these dogs are available upon request as well as pictures and a brief life history.  We will stand behind all our dogs.

  We will not stoop to respond in kind, but stand ready to provide what we promised and back up all our claims.
